Which way next ?

The end of a year and a decade, and the beginning of a new year and decade give us such a great opportunity to reflect on our businesses and our lives, to review things and see whether we’re heading towards where we actually want to go.

My Bilingual VA is no exception to this trend, and over the past 6 weeks I’ve been delighted to actually spend time working ON my business instead of just IN it.

I’ve taken time to review 2019, to take stock of everything I’ve achieved, but also to take an honest look at some of the things which haven’t worked as well in order to identify what I can work on and improve in 2020.

As part of this, I’ve reviewed my systems and processes.  It’s taken some time to research, choose and learn to use new software, to enter the data I need, and to think about new procedures, but I know that the time I’ve taken now will help me streamline the services I offer my clients and enable me to be more efficient in the future so I definitely see it as an investment.

I’ve also taken time out for my family and for self-care, and have been grateful for a spa morning gifted to me by my husband in early December, a new haircut to start the year off, a trip to the cinema to see the last Star Wars film, and I also took my daughter to see an art exhibition in Paris, the beautiful city we’re blessed to have just a 30-minute train ride away (and yes, we beat the strikers that day)!

I’ve taken time to think about my goals and dreams for the future, and to actually map out what I need to do to make the new life I dream of a reality.  However, last Saturday my husband and I went out for a Chinese meal and we were given fortune cookies.  My fortune cookie said “keep your plans secret for the moment”, so if you’d like to see what’s next for My Bilingual VA, you’ll have to follow me here and all will become clear over the next 12 months!

I now feel refreshed and ready to work with both my current and new clients, to take on new projects and to embrace new challenges.

If this post leaves you wishing you had more time to work ON your business, then do reach out to me. I’d be happy to offer you a free 30-minute call to identify where a bilingual VA could assist you, and to see if we’d be a good fit.

Finally, whatever your goals are for 2020, My Bilingual VA wishes you the very best!
